What Gets Preserved
Frequently Asked Questions
Is my presentation uploaded to a server?
No. The .pptx is unzipped and read in your browser (JSZip) and the PDF is built locally with pdfmake. Your file never leaves your device.
Does it reproduce my exact slide design?
It extracts each slide’s text and embedded raster images into a clean page, but it does not reproduce themes, custom fonts, animations, or exact positioning. For a pixel-perfect copy, use PowerPoint’s built-in “Save as PDF”.
Are old .ppt files supported?
No. Only the modern .pptx format is supported. Open the file in PowerPoint and “Save As” .pptx first.
Which image types are kept?
PNG, JPG, GIF, and BMP images are embedded. Vector formats such as EMF, WMF, and SVG are skipped because they can’t be embedded reliably in-browser.
How many pages will the PDF have?
One page per slide — a 20-slide deck produces a 20-page PDF, at the presentation’s aspect ratio.
Is it free?
Yes — completely free, no account, no watermark, and no limit on conversions.
