How it works
The Fill PDF Forms tool reads the form fields already inside the PDF (its AcroForm) using pdf-lib and renders each one as an editable control. You fill them in, optionally flatten the form, and download — all in your browser.

What "flatten" means
Flattening bakes your answers into the page so they become permanent and can no longer be edited. Flatten when you're sending a completed, final form. Leave it unflattened if the recipient might need to make changes.
"This PDF has no fillable fields"
This tool fills forms that already contain form fields. If your PDF is a flat document — a printed-looking form with lines but no interactive fields — there's nothing to fill programmatically. In that case, use the Edit PDF tool to type text on top of the page, or Sign PDF to add a signature.
